• Head of the Math Department and Instructor at Star Academy (2005-2016), a Bay Area school for students with learning challenges, implementing the Making Math Real™ approach in each classroom (K-9).

• Classroom Special Education teacher since 1991 with students who have mild to severe learning challenges.

• Credentialed Teacher in CA and NY in both Special Education and General Education.

• Involved in Making Math Real™ since the summer of 2004; Lead Instructor (2006) and Intern (2005) in Making Math Real’s Clinical Practicum and Math Camp for Kids. Ongoing coursework and training.
